Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Angel Hair' is commonly referred to as Angel Hair Threadleaf Falsecypress. This selection is a slow-growing multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with a somewhat rounded form. It has very fine, textured, threadbranch foliage and thinner foliage than 'Filifera' allowing it to look light and airy with almost a string-like type foliage. Its foliage remains green throughout winter and its shaggy red bark adds an attractive appeal as well.
The Angel Hair Threadleaf Falsecypress is relatively low maintenance. It enjoys full to part sun in rich, moist, well-drained soils.
